Update 21 – MBA Communication regarding opening times and operative branches.

The Malta Bankers’ Association (‘the MBA’) informs the general public that its Communication of the 24th August 2020 is being updated with the following information:

 

APS Bank p.l.c.

 

The bank notifies that as a preventive measure against the spread of COVID-19, from Monday 26th October 2020 its branches will open from Monday to Friday 09:30 to 14:00 and Saturday 09:30 to 12:00. Additionally, customers aged 60+ will be given priority on Monday to Friday between 09:30 and 10:30. Moreover the bank advises that its Floriana branch will be closed until further notice.

 

Bank of Valletta p.l.c.

 

The bank notifies that its Gżira and Marsa Branches reopened for business as per normal hours from today. An infection prevention control specialist was engaged to disinfect the branches which, following confirmation by the Health Authorities, are now safe to reopen for business.

 

Additionally, the bank notifies that its Żurrieq branch is temporarily closed until further notice, since a staff member tested positive for COVID-19. The branch will be thoroughly sanitised and will reopen once it is ascertained safe to do so for the safety and well-being of customers and staff. As part of their contact tracing protocols, the Health Authorities are in contact with those individuals who might have been exposed to the contagion.
