
The Malta Bankers’ Association (‘the MBA’) informs the general public that its Communication of the 24th August 2020 is being updated with the following information:
Bank of Valletta p.l.c.
The bank notifies that it will reopen its Hamrun Branch with limited services including services related to cash and handling of queries until further notice. This Branch was temporarily closed after one of its staff tested positive for COVID-19. The Bank has engaged an infection prevention control specialist to disinfect the Branch and following confirmation by the Health Authorities the Branch is now safe to reopen for business.
The bank notifies that its Gzira Branch is temporarily closed until further notice after a third party tested positive for COVID-19. Cheques deposited on Wednesday 14th October through the Cheque Box Deposit will be processed after the 19th October. The Branch will be thoroughly sanitised and will reopen once it is ascertained safe to do so for the safety and wellbeing of customers and staff. The Health authorities will contact with those individuals who might have been exposed to the contagion as part of their contact tracing protocol.
