Update 11– MBA Communication regarding opening times and operative branches.

The Malta Bankers’ Association (MBA) informs the general public that its communication of the 17th April 2020 is being updated with the following information:

 

Bank of Valletta p.l.c. (BOV)

 

As from Monday 17th August 2020, the bank will be reopening another 4 branches located at Fgura, Fleur de Lys, Ħamrun and Mellieħa, thus bringing the total number of open branches and agencies to 39.

These branches will be open from Monday to Friday between 8.30 am and 1.30 pm. Cheque encashment and cash withdrawals are accepted until noon as per normal pre-COVID schedule. On Saturdays, these branches will not offer cashier service but will be open from 8.30 am until 12.30 pm for other services such as home loans, personal loans, opening of accounts, investments, applications for debit and credit cards, internet and mobile banking.

The bank also informs its customers that to avoid queues, they may resort to BOV digital channels such as ATMs, BOV Cards, BOV Pay, BOV Mobile and Internet Banking for cheaper, secure and safe banking. The bank has 97 ATMs across Malta and Gozo, 44 of which are Advanced ATMs offering a wide range of cash services.

Moreover, an appointment for non-cashiering branch services can be set up by sending an email to info@bov.com with the type of service required, mobile number, ID Card number and preferred branch, or by calling on +356 2131 2020.

HSBC Bank Malta p.l.c.

 

The bank is currently operating from the following branches: Valletta, Mosta, Sliema, Paola, Victoria (Gozo), Birkirkara, Swieqi (tellerless), Zejtun and Zurrieq (tellerless). The branches have resumed their services, including Wealth Management, as per normal branch opening hours which are from 08:30 to 13:30 from Monday to Thursday, from 08:30 to 16:00 on Friday and from 08:30 to 12:30 on Saturday.
