The Malta Bankers’ Association (MBA) has consolidated the information provided in its various Updates following the communication of the 17th April 2020 and is providing a summary position for the named banks regarding branches open for business, their opening times and other relevant information, as follows:
APS Bank p.l.c.
The full network of branches namely Valletta, Swatar, Paola, Mosta, Sliema, Attard, Qormi, Floriana and Victoria Gozo are open for business from Monday to Friday 8:30 am – 2.00 pm and Saturday from 8:30 am – 12:00 pm (noon).
The bank advises that its Sliema branch re-opened for business on the 24th August, as per normal hours following a temporarily closure after one of its staff tested positive for COVID-19. All other branch employees were subsequently tested and all have been confirmed negative to COVID-19. Additionally, the branch premises was disinfected by an accredited specialist.
Lombard Bank p.l.c.
The bank operates from the following branches: Valletta – 67 Republic Street; Sliema – 225 Tower Road; Qormi – 82 St Sebastian Street; Balzan – Balzan Valley; Victoria Gozo – Ninu Cremona Street. The bank also operates a second small office in Sliema – 44 Tigne’ Street.
Branches operating times as follows: Monday – Friday 8.00 am – 12.30 pm. The bank does not open on Saturdays.
Bank of Valletta p.l.c.
The bank is operating from the following 39 branches:
Malta – Attard, Balluta, Birkirkara, Birżebbuġa, Buġibba, Cospicua, Fgura, Fleur-de-Lys, Floriana, Gżira, Ħamrun, Luqa, Marsa, Marsaskala, Mellieħa, Mosta, Mqabba, Naxxar, Paola, Qormi, Rabat, San Ġwann, San Pawl Il-Bahar, Santa Venera, Siġġiewi, Skyparks, Sliema*, St Julians, Tal-Ibraġ, Valletta, Żabbar, Żebbug, Żejtun, Żurrieq

*Sliema branch does not provide cashier services (Monday – Saturday).
Opening hours:
Monday to Friday – 8.30 am – 1.30 pm and Saturdays – 8.30 am – 12.30 pm
Cashier service – 8.30 am – 12.00 pm (noon) – Please note that certain branches do not provide cashier service on Saturdays.
The bank advises that its Gżira Branch reopened for business on Saturday 22nd August 2020 following temporary closure after one of its staff tested positive for COVID-19. All remaining staff are following Health Authorities’ instructions while an infection prevention control specialist was contracted to disinfect the branch. Arrangements have also been made for staff members from other BOV units to service customers from this branch.
HSBC Bank Malta p.l.c.
The bank currently operates from the following branches: Valletta, Mosta, Sliema, Paola, Victoria (Gozo), Birkirkara, Swieqi (tellerless), Zejtun and Zurrieq (tellerless). The services at the branches, including Wealth Management, are provided as per normal branch opening hours which are from 8:30 am – 1:30 pm from Monday to Thursday, from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm on Friday and from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm on Saturday.
BNF Bank p.l.c.
The bank currently operates from the following branches:
